Did you know?
- Developmental windows for training your puppy close very quickly
- "Puppyhood" is actually only 17 weeks long
- It is critical to expose your puppy to things they need to be comfortable with
- Formal puppy training can assist you in becoming more observant and aware of the stages of puppy growth and development, and preempt the development of behaviours that will be more challenging to correct as puppy becomes a "teenager" and then an adult dog
Puppy Obedience & Manners
From 9 to 17 weeks
$180 HST included
The class is designed to provide opportunity for puppies to develop good social behaviour with other dogs and people using the optimum window of their social development. All members of the family are encouraged to participate in the classes. Training techniques are family and dog friendly to enhance the building of strong relationships between your dog and the family.
This is a six week course where the first week is a lecture without the puppy in attendance.
You will learn the development stages that affect your puppy’s behaviour over the next few months as he/she becomes an adolescent.
Off-leash play sessions will teach appropriate ways to meet and greet both humans and other puppies, and teach good social behaviour.
Puppies are exposed to a variety of objects, textures, and situations to build confidence and focus.
We recommend that your puppy have their second set of vaccines (first booster), or your veterinarian's approval to attend class.
