CLASS REFUNDS or RESCHEDULING
Our class sizes are subject to limited enrollment to ensure quality in program delivery and safety for all participants. Therefore refunds - minus a $35 administration fee - will only be granted if TAG Dog Training & Education Centre has been notified at least seven ( 7) days prior to the beginning of the scheduled session.
If your dog is ill or is otherwise unable to participate in class, we encourage you to attend without your dog.
If you are ill or otherwise unable to attend, it is suggested that a substitute handler attend in your place. Note that the substitute handler must be aware of the materials and techniques previously covered, as our instructors may not have time during a class to review this information.
In some instances, you and your dog may be able to join another class already in progress, depending on availability of space and where other classes maybe in the progress of the class curriculum. Note that TAG does offer private sessions should you wish to “catch-up”.
If you and/or your dog are unable to continue with a class due to a long term illness or injury, you may be eligible for a 50% discount when enrolling in a future class.
CANCELLATIONS or POSTPONEMENT
Occasionally, classes may have to be postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions. Should a class be cancelled, participants will have the option to:
- Transfer to future class, or
- Receive a full refund.
TAG Dog Training & Education Centre will attempt to accommodate any such cancellation by adding a “make-up” at the end of the current session, where possible.
Before beginning your first class with TAG Dog Training & Education Centre, all dog owners are required to attend an Orientation Session. The purpose of this session is to introduce participants to the theories and methods that will be put into practice over the six week course. Participants will receive materials, be made aware of any administrative, health & safety notices, become familiar with the facility, and have an opportunity to ask questions should they have any.
The first practical session of puppy or basic training class will get right to the activities and practical application of your training sessions.
CHILDREN AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS
All family members, including children, are welcome to attend classes. We request that children under the age of 8 be accompanied by a second adult.
Most dogs will display higher levels of excitement, including barking, inability to concentrate, and sensitivity to of encroachment their personal space during the first class. Generally, this settles down by the second or third session as you and your dog become familiar with the routine and expectations.
If your dog continues to demonstrate excessive behavioural outbursts, including reactivity to people or other dogs, TAG Dog Training & Education Centre may recommend that you be transferred to a behaviour group class specifically designed to address these issues, or a private consultation, and transfer your payment to accordingly.
Payment is required at the time of booking for all Private Sessions or Consults. TAG Dog Training & Education Centre requires at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or to postpone your session. Refunds are subject to a $35 administration fee.
Should it be necessary to cancel a private session or consult within the 48 hour window, the full fee will be charged. TAG Dog Training & Education Centre offers a one-time re-scheduling opportunity to be scheduled within 3 months of original booking, at no additional charge.
Please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice for daycare cancelations, or you may be charged for the day regardless of attendance. As there is a waiting list for daycare spaces we would like to have the opportunity to contact those on the list to try and fill the empty space. We understand that there are times when it is not possible to provide 24 hours notice, please contact the school by phone or email and we will do our best to make alternate arrangements.
