Cheryl is recognized as a preeminent canine behavioural specialist with 40 years experience in training dogs, and is endorsed by Dr. Ian Dunbar, a pioneer and recognized international expert in canine training and behaviour.
In 2015, Cindi and David, clients of Cheryl’s, asked her to help them welcome home a new German Shepherd puppy. In April of that year the Delcorde’s six-year old German Shepherd, Avery had died suddenly. The Delcorde’s knew that they needed a professional to introduce Avery’s littermate Jethro to the new puppy. Cheryl began a program with Jethro to help him grieve for the loss of is littermate and get him ready for his energetic new friend.
The outcome was outstanding! On the day Meike came home, Cheryl came to the Delcorde’s home, and facilitated the successful introduction and integration of the old boy with the new pup in about 5 minutes. Meike and Jethro are now inseparable. The Delcorde’s continued with the training program set out by Cheryl for both Meike and Jethro, and when it came time for Cheryl to embark on a new venture, they supported her in that too.
